Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean and free from any loose debris and/or previous surface coating.

Thoroughly clean bare concrete using ChillKote™ Concrete Cleaner. Previously painted or coated concrete must be thoroughly pressure washed and any loose material must be removed prior to application.

Repair cracks over 1/4” with BondKote or another polymeric concrete patching compound (refer to manufacturer’s instructions for proper application).

Please consult a professional if you have any questions about proper surface preparation.

Application

1) Apply ChillKote when the Temperature is between 40 and 90° F. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours prior to or 8 hours after application.

2) Apply material by pouring a small amount onto the concrete in an “S” pattern. Quickly spread and roll out evenly with a ¾” nap roller. Repeat process for both first and second coats (only apply the second coating after the first has completely dried). Avoid leaving roller marks when applying the material.

3)After second layer of ChillKote has completely dried, apply our specially formulated nano sealer, SealKote. Using a 1.5” nap roller, apply one layer of SealKote. Let dry and then apply second layer.

!!!Caution!!!

1 ) Do not apply over sealed concrete.

2 )A sealer that is resistant to hot-tire-peal must be used in applications involving vehicles. See complete instructions.

The best warranty of any pool deck coating on the market. KoreKote warranties ChillKote for as long as you own your home! Failure caused by improper substrate preparation, improper application, failure to maintain, or any act of abuse voids this warranty.
